This morning you will wake early and prepare for your gorilla trekking. This is a humbling experience and you will be allocated to one of the gorilla groups that call the mountains of Bwindi home. A close encounter with these gentle giants is an amazing experience. Following your incredible day in the forest with the gorillas you will return to the lodge.
Later on, you will go for the Batwa community trail. You will get to learn of their ways of living. These people once shared the forest with the gorillas.
Return to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight.

This morning you will have breakfast then cross the Uganda- Rwanda border and overnight near
Volcanoes National Park. Rwanda, the tiny land locked country is known as the “Land of a
thousand hills”. Rest of the day will be spent either at leisure as you prepare for the next day’s
adventure or you get to engage in optional activities.

Optional activities;
1. Visit the Dian Fossey tomb located near her Karisoke research center between Mount
Karisimbi and mount Bisoke.
2. Boat ride on the twin lakes (lake Burera and lake Ruhondo).

Today you will trek the golden monkeys of Uganda. These cheeky primates are a joy to watch as they leap from branches with great agility.

In the afternoon, depart with your guide back to Kigali where you continue with your own onward flight arrangements.
