We had a spectacular trip in Uganda, thanks to my tour Company Katella and our guide Moses! From the beginning of the booking everything felt right. Florence the owner personalized an amazing tour for us which included every highlight in Uganda. She spoke with us and answered every question we had and offered us amazing lodges with an excellent price range, she is very friendly and knowledgeable and being from the region she has great connections within her community. This is a female owned business and I definitely wanted to support that. Her guides are both male and females and always made us feel safe. Florence even came to meet us in person while in Uganda. Our guide Moses is also a great soul, super friendly, professional, knowledgeable and made sure we were always safe and comfortable. Everything went as planned without any issues. I highly recommend Katella, I am glad I went with them. They also do other venues besides Uganda.

We booked an 11 day trip around Rwanda and Uganda with Katella and the experience de couldn’t have been more perfect.

From the first enquiry, Florence was professional, helpful, knowledgeable and patience.

The itinerary she suggested based on the limited information we gave her was wonderful. She suggested activities that we wouldn’t have even thought of, giving us options and keeping us informed throughout. The hotels and lodges that she selected for us were lovely. High quality, friendly with good food and great facilities.

Our guide, Robert, met us at the airport when we landed late on a Friday night. Nothing was too much trouble for him and he quickly became a friend. He taught us so much about his country and the culture, he made sure we had all the information we needed and that we took the right equipment with us each day.

Having the right guide is really important and we definitely won the lottery with Robert.

We had the most amazing experience during our trip and this is mainly down to the time and effort that Florence and Robert spent making everything wonderful for us.

There is nothing we would change at all, we went to see gorillas but we ended up seeing so much more than we ever expected.

Thank you Katella - Florence and Robert - thank you, this is a trip that we will never forgot.

We had the most wonderful experience during our 19-day safari in not Kenya and Uganda. We booked with Katella after reading many glowing reviews, and we were not disappointed! Florence was fantastic to worth with, so responsive and helpful in answering all of my questions before our trip, and even during our trip to make sure all was going well. Florence expertly planned a perfect itinerary, including a wonderful mix of natural and cultural experiences. We did and saw so many amazing things, and everything went so smoothly, start to finish. Florence also went above and beyond to make sure our celebration of our 20 year anniversary was super special 😊.

We loved our guides in Kenya, Lewis and Reagan; and in Uganda, Noah (with his Ark 😉). All were very knowledgeable, friendly, prompt, and dedicated to creating an amazing and memorable experience for us.

All of our accommodations during our stay were great, clean, comfortable, and safe. We also had fantastic food throughout. Our transportation was both comfortable and reliable.

We had such an incredible time and saw so much wildlife, as well as beautiful landscapes. Truly a dream vacation. We highly recommend Katella and would definitely use them again, if we’re Ilucky enough to return someday!

An Unforgettable Experience with Katella Uganda Safaris

Our experience with Katella Uganda Safaris was one of those trips that leaves you with wonderful memories long after you return home. From the initial planning and communication to the actual journey, the team was professional, welcoming and attentive to our needs. Florence, the CEO, deserves special appreciation for the warm welcome and personal attention she gave us. She made us feel that we were not simply booking a safari, but being genuinely looked after from the very beginning.

A special mention must also go to our driver-guide, Bright Favor, who made every day of the journey enjoyable. He has an impressive knowledge of the parks, wildlife and local surroundings, and was always ready with an explanation whenever we spotted something interesting. His ability to spot animals and know where to take us made the game drives even more exciting.

And then there is his driving  absolutely worth mentioning. Bright Favor is an incredibly smooth and confident driver, even on some of Uganda’s more adventurous roads. Somehow, he could navigate potholes so  well,His patience, flexibility and energy were equally impressive, especially during the long days on the road.

What we appreciated about Katella Uganda Safaris was the combination of good organisation, genuine hospitality and people who clearly care about the experience they create for their visitors. Florence and her team made the journey feel personal, while Bright Favor brought knowledge, humour and professionalism to every day.

We would happily recommend Katella Uganda Safaris to anyone looking to explore Uganda. An Unforgettable Ugandan Adventure! 🇺🇬🦍❤️ with Katella Uganda Safaris...

I am so grateful to Florence for helping me plan my Ugandan dream adventure and making sure the trip included the experiences that were important to me. She was incredibly helpful throughout the entire planning process, but pairing me with Deneson as my guide was truly the BEE'S KNEES & the BEST choice she could have ever made!!!

I have never experienced the level of kindness that Deneson displayed towards me. He was exceptionally patient, caring, attentive, and accommodating, always making sure I was comfortable. He made me feel safe and genuinely cared for throughout the entire trip.

Some of my adventures were: a walk with the rhinos, Murchison Falls, Queen Elizabeth National Park, a stop at the Equator, game drives, a village visit, a chimpanzee track AND the INCREDIBLE GORILLA TREK highlight at Bwindi Impenetrable National Park!!! OMG, my dream became reality!!!

I saw so much amazing wildlife and nature and Deneson was always on alert. He even spotted a Shoebill Stork while driving me back after our adventures and pulled over for us to view it and take photos. But what made the trip especially memorable was the time we spent together along the way. It honestly felt like I was traveling with a friend, in much the same way I enjoy traveling with my daughter.

I captured several hundred photos & videos and Deneson took many also. There are too many photos to share here and it was so hard to narrow them down. I observed so many animals and Deneson was knowledgeable and informative about all of them.

Lastly, Deneson was more than my guide, he became a wonderful companion throughout my adventure. I will always remember his kindness, patience, laughter, and the care he showed me.

This is the best holiday I’ve ever been on.
Katella Safaris were sensational, from planning stage and right through every day of the holiday. They made sure I saw everything that I listed that I wanted to do on the holiday plus many extra things that I wouldn’t have considered but will absolutely sensational. The guides and drivers were all fantastic, So warm, friendly and knowledgeable. Nothing was too much trouble for them, especially the odd late change when I wanted to see something that I haven’t listed. We had the BEST Safari experience with Katella! Our guides in Uganda (Yonah) and in Tanzania (Chris) were absolutely incredible! They were both so knowledgeable, experienced, and ensured that our trip was truly a once in a life time experience! We saw 4 of the Big 5 on Day ONE in Uganda and saw ALL of the Big 5 in Tanzania! I don’t even know where to start to express my gratitude to Katella for a trip of a lifetime.  From the beginning, Florence was very kind, patient, and informative.  I felt I was in good hands right from the start due to her excellent communication, kindness, and tips along the way.  The itinerary she created was full of can’t miss experiences.

My driver/guide Deneson was the best guide I have ever had on any trip .  He always had interesting things to tell me about the places we visited and at the same time made everything fun.  He was so helpful and often anticipated my needs.  Because of Deneson, I didn’t feel like I was making the trip alone.  I’m very grateful that he was my guide.  He was the absolute perfect combination of a guide with an extensive knowledge of Uganda along with a terrific personality which made everything including the car rides so much more fun!  He always made sure that I was well taken care of and he made my trip worry-free.  If I am able to return to east Africa, I will most definitely book with Katella and hope for Deneson as my guide.
