This day, you will have an early breakfast then head to Mgahinga National Park in search of the golden monkeys. These are a local subspecies of the widespread skyes monkey, known as the “blue monkey”. Seeing these playful and inquisitive monkeys leap from bamboo branches or frolicking on the forest floor is awesome. From there you will transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, home to over half of the world’s mountain gorillas. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Have an early morning breakfast and have a drive to the Park’s headquarters for a briefing about your gorilla safari. Enjoy the biggest highlight of this tour, Gorilla trekking may last for about 3 to 6 hours depending on the gorilla family you’re assigned to visit. You will trek through the rainforest, escorted by Uganda Wildlife Authority guides and other guest trackers, on the lookout for the mountain gorilla family. The trekking can sometimes be hard and long, as soon as you catch a glimpse of the beautiful silverback, any discomforts will be forgotten. As a result of the nature of the activity, you will have packed lunch in the forest. After mountain Gorilla trekking, you will embark on the drive through the terraced hills to Lake Bunyonyi. You will have a guided canoe boat ride on the Lake.

After breakfast, check out of the lodge and then cross the Uganda- Rwanda border to Rwanda. Have an optional visit to the genocide museum. You will transfer to Kigali international airport for your transfer to the next destination.
