After a heartily breakfast, you will have an optional tour of Kigali City this including a visit to the Genocide museum then later transfer to the Rwanda- Uganda border for crossing. After clearing customs, you will have lunch enroute then drive to Bwindi impenetrable forest national park, the great home to over half of the worlds mountain gorillas. Drive to southwestern Uganda, passed several mountains, enjoying the beautiful views of the scenery and the amazing people along the way. Check into your lodge, relax and get ready for the next day’s adventure.

Just after breakfast, proceed to the park headquarters for a simple briefing about gorilla trekking from the local park rangers. He will briefly take you through the guidelines of gorilla trekking, divide you into groups of eight trekkers and then hit the forest. The time for trekking the gorillas is unpredictable, it takes about 1 to 6 hours, depending on the movement and location of the gorillas.

Trekking can sometimes be hectic, but on the glimpse of the gorillas, it all becomes worth. Spend an hour in close proximity with the apes, watching them feed, play and carry on their daily lives.

In the afternoon after lunch, enjoy a cultural treat with the Batwa (pygmies) people. You will be entertained by the traditional performances, taste the local cuisines and have personal interactions with the forest people. You can buy hand craft souvenirs for remembrance.

Early morning, have breakfast and travel back to Kigali to catch up with your flight to Tanzania.
While here, you will be welcomed by our experienced Tanzanian safari guide who will transfer you to a hotel in Arusha where you will have dinner and spend the overnight.

Have breakfast at the lodge and start the journey to Serengeti national park. Drive at your convenience, having several stopovers at places of interest for pictures and enjoying the beautiful views of the golden landscape. Arrival is in the evening for dinner.
Alternatively, you can undertake an evening game drive to admire the beautiful sunset of Serengeti and view numerous herds of big mammals returning to their hideouts.

Today you enjoy a full day game drive in Serengeti national park. Sights of almost every wildlife species is guaranteed; the lions, buffaloes, cheetahs, elephants, rhinos, gazelles, wildebeests, warthogs, antelopes, zebras, giraffes and so many others. This is also a good place for the birders too as there so many bird species to check out like the Kori bustard, Yellow billed Stork, African fish eagle, OxPecker and so much more.
Lunch will be in the wild after which you will head to the migration trail to view the great wildebeest migration to see thousands of animals move from one place to the other in search of food and water.
Optional activity: Balloon safari over the Serengeti Plains

Have breakfast check out of the lodge and travel back to Arusha. It is still an interesting journey full of sights and views of Tanzania’s countryside. The guide takes you to any hotel of your choice or to the airport for your outbound flight. That will be the end of your 7 days Uganda gorillas and Serengeti safari.
